Daydreamour is a short, adventure-story platformer created by Moon Metro Digital and originally released for the, long ended, Locally Sourced Spring Bundle on Itch.io hosted by LocallySourcedMI back in August of 2020. With it's stated play-through time of fifteen minutes, and my growing inability to gauge distances in platformer games, does it really lead to any surprise that it took me infinitly longer to reach not even the end? Especially given that this game was apparently made in like one week?

Am I just not a strategic thinker? Is that the reason why I spent almost an hour going through variations of the same jump trying to see how to make it work? I thought some of my attempts were creative as heck but my ability to mash buttons always seems lacking in these moments. Maybe my shaky hands and non-existent hand-eye coordination are finally coming after me here with this one.
There's only like four buttons you can even use!

Also adding to the very simple design and black and white color scheme is the fact that I love the little sprite character you play as and would love a little figurine or plushie of them.
Back on track though, platformers are hard. The planning and in-game physics of everything made for a surprisingly challenging few levels, especially when the moving platforms were introduced. I never even made it to the end by the time I'm writing this. Eventually I will manage to finish this game but at the moment I've spent almost a full 24 hours playing it and am a little bit tired of dying so often.

So we're ending on a little more somber note but happy dreams!
