What We're Doing Here

Hiya. My name's Liz and we're going to play some games.

This is the first post of the blog, so I feel like we should lay out what exactly is going to happen, but well, the answer to that is basically in the title.

Me, not any form of gamer, is going to play somewhere around 1700 indie games that were part of the Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality hosted by Itch.io. The bundle is no longer available for purchase, having ended on Monday, June 15, 2020 at 11:59 PM. It raised 163% of it's $5,000,000 goal, grossing in at $8,152,021.91 by 814,581 contributors. Despite the bundle having ended, new games are still being added, so please don't expect me to know exactly how many games are in the bundle at any given moment.

So, first post. Yay! New blog!

But, just to make things very clear here, when I say I don't play video games, I really do mean it. Other than occasionally gushing about Persona 5 and Death Stranding's aesthetics or watching Bendon Urie stream on Twitch, I really don't touch the stuff. I know some basic things about some of the bigger franchises because of my brother and friends who need a sounding board and from my time at cons. Unfortunatly, I've never been overly interested in this passtime or industry.

Of course, this also means I'm probably going to be absolutly horrific at reviewing anything and am going to hope so very hard that no podcasts ever come across this. I know this is going out to the public, but I'm not doing this for that kind of negativity, okay?

That all being said, by the time this post goes up, I will have already begun working through The List and have some more posts lined up. I'm going to try and get through around two to three games a week, game play time willing, and get at least a post or two up a week as well. Don't hold me to that schedual, though, cause I do have a life and job outside of this project and will likely slip every now and again. Posts will likely be a combination of review and reaction rolled into one, I give no promises though. This is all kind of a new thing, so please bear with me.

So, I guess, let's see how this goes.
